Mexican Fiesta would first like to state how appalled and saddened we were by the criminal behavior demonstrated by the Minneapolis Police officers in the arrest and eventual death of George Floyd.
Mexican Fiesta has always strived for inclusion and believes that people of color only leads to a better, stronger, and more positive community.
Mexican Fiesta believes that the time has come for a nation-wide comprehensive review of justice and police use of force training and application. We stand with those raising their voices for justice and demanding a systematic and social change. We stand against racism, inequalities and unjust policies that have persisted in our society.
As a community led and made strong by many people of color, we stand with the Black Lives Matter movement and call for an end to racism.
