SCHOLARSHIPS
Through Mexican Fiesta, community support, sponsors, and over 1,000 volunteers, the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, Inc. has been able to award more than $650,000+ in academic scholarships and more than $250,000 to local and surrounding non-profit organizations over the years. These scholarships have allowed aspiring Hispanic students to live their dreams of furthering their education.
We are able to provide a great service to the fastest growing ethnic group in the state of Wisconsin. From 1990 to 2000, the Hispanic population has more than doubled with an increase of 107%. This continued growth is concentrated in the Southeastern part of the state, and our mission has also doubled to accommodate the community that we serve.
As an organization, we must now increase awareness of the opportunities available to the Hispanic community. We must continue to increase attendance to our annual events and we must increase sponsorship & support in order to meet the needs of our growing community.
