                Mexican Fiesta Internacional

brings the sound, culture and taste of México                         to Milwaukee’s Lakefront!

Mexican Fiesta International brings the sound, culture and taste of Mexico to Milwaukee's lakefront this coming August 22, 23, 24, 2008. Join in on the fun as we celebrate three days of fun, food, Mariachi and fiesta for everyone. Mexican Fiesta is more than just a celebration, it is a vigorous declaration of community spirit at it‘s best.  Education is the key to the future, and through scholarship awards, the festival becomes the gateway to young Hispanics taking their rightful place in society by continuing education.    Mexican Fiesta Internacional is a cultural foundation concentrating on providing education and cultural events for the growing Hispanic community. Our festival honors culture, tradition, and family. Mexican Fiesta Internacional encourages individuals from all ethnic backgrounds to share in the beauty of Mexico's rich history, art, music and food.  Today, Mexican Fiesta Internacional is the Midwest's largest Hispanic (paid entrance) festival.

This year’s special attractions include for the very first time in Mexican Fiesta history a “Gran Charriada” (Mexican Style Rodeo) with special performances by Escaramuza “Rayo de Esperanza” Illinois Champions and Escamilla Entertainment. Our attractive Cultural Village will be host to  our very first poet, Jose E. Grijalva- Ironworker Poet-Mariachi-Engineer who will be reciting poetry from his publication “Vivencias Reflejadas”, a grand exhibition of Alebrijes-a brightly colored Mexican Folk art sculpture presented by Jacobo Dominguez, a Tequila Expo featuring Tequila Distiller-Alambique, mouth watering Pan de Feria-traditional festival bread baked fresh every day by master bakers Carlos Roldan and Moises Martin, and over 40 artisans from the states of México displaying their art work and merchandise from each individual state.

Mexican Fiesta is also host to performances throughout the weekend including international recording superstars: La Arrolladora Banda El Limon de Rene Camacho, El Chapo de Sinaloa, El Poder del Norte, Los Primos de Durango, la Sonora Tropicana, Alejandra Orozco (ranchero singer), La Tropa F, Jimmy Edwards, Sunny Ozuna, Agustin Ramirez, Big Circo, Los Badd Boyz del Valle and much more mariachi, salsa, merengue. All of this including colorful folklore performances by El Ballet Folklórico México de los Hermanos Avila, el Ballet Folklórico Nacional de Victor Soria, Ballet Folklorico Missiones Culturales, Grupo Unidos por la cultura del Danzón and much, much more!    The Mexican Fiesta festival has been the catalyst for dozens of other Mexican festivals throughout the state and the nation. This summer attraction featuring a variety of entertainment throughout Latin America, Colorful Folkloric Dancers, Cultural Exhibits and Authentic Mexican Cuisine is held at the Henry W. Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 22, 23, 24, 2008.
